Metal Print Description
Aluminum prints are made with a revolutionary process that infuses the images directly into special metal sheets for greater vibrancy, incredible depth, and durability. A photo lab uses a die-sublimation process to produce the metal prints. The Magna Chrome website described the technique as follows:
"Special dyes are printed onto a transfer paper and then infused into a patented coating under pressure and heat."
No glass or frame is necessary. Furthermore, the depth of the patented coating gives a luminous quality to the photos and brilliance to the colors. The image seems to float within the coating.
Metal images come in sizes from 2"x31/2" to 48"x96" . Due to shipping requirements and the potential for damage, all MetalPrints over 30" on the short side, or over 40" in length must be crated at additional cost.**
The photo labs add new sizes often, so please inquire if you need a size not mentioned. Images can also be ordered in a number of different metal frames and tabletop display options. Please contact Pam for more information on these options.
Additional pictures and information available on request.
